The 9,287 members (as of 01.01.2008) of the Schwimmverein Bayer Uerdingen 08 e. V. make the club the second largest backed by Bayer AG in Germany, the biggest club in and around Krefeld and in respect to the youth department one of the strongest in the German Swimming Association. Apart from successful swimmers the club also has a successful water polo side to offer. A large recreational sports department rounds off what the club has to offer.
